Privacy Policy
42boxes · Last updated 28 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how mobile applications published by 42boxes (“we”, “us”) handle information. It applies to every app we publish on Google Play, including PyramidCats. Where a specific app collects or shares data differently, that is called out in the per-app details section below.
Summary
- Our apps do not require an account and do not ask you for your name, email address, phone number, or other personal contact details.
- Game data such as scores, statistics, and settings is stored only on your device. We have no servers that receive it.
- Some apps show ads and offer a one-time in-app purchase. Those features are provided by Google (AdMob and Google Play Billing), which process a limited set of data as described below.
- We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising or marketing profiles ourselves.
Per-app details
PyramidCats
PyramidCats is a single-player solitaire card game. It:
- stores your high scores, statistics, and preferences locally on the device (Android
SharedPreferences); this data never leaves the device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data; - displays a banner advertisement supplied by Google AdMob;
- offers one optional, non-consumable in-app purchase (“Remove Ads”) processed by Google Play Billing;
- requires an internet connection only for ad delivery and for verifying the “Remove Ads” purchase.
PyramidCats does not integrate any analytics or crash-reporting SDK operated by us.
Data collected and shared
We do not collect personal data directly. However, the Google services embedded in some of our apps collect and share the following, acting as independent data controllers or processors under their own terms:
| Data | Purpose | Provided by |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID and device identifiers | Serving and measuring ads, limiting repeat ads, fraud prevention | Google AdMob |
| Approximate (coarse) location, derived from IP address | Serving regionally appropriate ads, legal compliance | Google AdMob |
| Ad interactions and app-performance / diagnostic data | Measuring ad performance, analytics, fraud prevention, stability | Google AdMob |
| Purchase history for the “Remove Ads” product | Completing and restoring your purchase | Google Play Billing |
This data is transmitted to Google and its advertising partners. It is not sent to any server operated by 42boxes. For details on how Google uses this information, see “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”, the Google Privacy Policy, and the list of Google advertising technology providers.
Ads and your choices (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
Ads in our apps are served by Google AdMob. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app shows a consent request, provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform, when it first launches and before any personalised advertising is shown. Your choice is stored on the device by Google’s SDK. Uninstalling the app clears it.
You can also, on any device:
- reset or delete your Advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads (wording varies by Android version);
- opt out of ads personalisation in the same screen;
- manage Google-wide ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
Children
Our apps are not directed to children. The target audience for PyramidCats is 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will address it.
Retention and deletion
We do not hold personal data about you on any server, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. On-device game data is removed when you clear the app’s data or uninstall it. Data processed by Google is retained and deleted according to Google’s Privacy Policy. To ask a question about data handling, or to make a request under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA, email us at the address below and we will respond.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our apps change or as the law requires. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of an app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
